STORM Sex Trade Opportunities for Risk Minimization, a unit of Project PROSPER® is a national organization providing training, education, consultation and direct services using a harm reduction model. Our staff draws from a multitude of ideologies and combines them with the practicality and pragmatism of harm reduction to work with individuals, communities, service providers, colleges, high schools, law enforcement and others seeking solutions and best practices in dealing with issues related to the sex trade. We have a specific program developed as an overlay with rape crisis/domestic violence programs in rural areas too small to support sex trade specific programming to assist them in working with individuals involved with the sex trade.

Our program is strongly committed to placing the needs of the client above political ideology. Because we believe the client is the expert in their own lives and we are only the facilitators of their process, STORM Sex Trade Opportunities for Risk Minimization, a unit of Project PROSPER®, we do not look at the issues of the sex trade from one particular ideology but instead draw from the ideology which our client feels is best for their unique circumstances. We also believe polarized political ideologies divide activists and individuals working on improving the lives, working conditions etc of individuals in the sex trade. Therefore our program seeks to transcend political agendas and place the client first.
