  • Jill Leighton
    Jill Leighton is a former prostitute who entered the sex trade as a 14 year old runaway teen after being lured out of a shopping mall. As a former runaway teen prostitute who relapsed back into the sex trade in her late 20's, Ms. Leighton brings a unique first hand perspective of prostitution and offers a down to earth presentation addressing the realities of the issue and pragmatic steps for harm reduction. Ms. Leighton is certified as a sexual assault crisis counselor in Minnesota and currently is based in the Project Prosper office in Greensboro, NC.
  • Gayle T. Thomas
    Gayle T. Thomas, MSW is a Certified Harm Reduction trainer through the Harm Reduction Coalition based in New York and California. Ms. Thomas has presented papers, workshops and keynote address at the regional, national and international level. With over 20 years in the social service arena, Ms. Thomas has developed multiple harm reduction programs for disenfranchised populations with a primary focus on women. Her areas of expertise are harm reduction program development, harm reduction management and supervision, domestic violence, chemical health, sexual violence, prostitution and work with dually diagnosed populations. Gayle is based in Minneapolis, MN.
  • Lucy Spina
    Lucy Spina, MA is currently pursuing licensure as an LMFT with the Adler Institute in Minneapolis, MN. Ms. Spina has presented papers and workshops at the regional and national level with a specific focus on the theoretical application of harm reduction strategies in working with dually diagnosed populations. Ms. Spina’s also has extensive work with homeless youth, chemical health issues, domestic violence and sexual violence. Currently Ms. Spina is the Unit Supervisor of direct services with a program whose focus is providing non-traditional services to individuals who are victim/survivors of sexual violence. Lucy is based in Minneapolis, MN.
