STORM

STORM is a national educational organization which specializes in issues surrounding the sex trade. Our organization offers professional speakers for conferences, training, consultation, media interviews and other events as requested. Currently STORM has three speaker/trainers. Each speaker is qualified and able to speak to issues surrounding the sex trade including:

• Examining the sex trade on a macro or micro level and it's social impact on individuals and communities.
• Training service providers on methods of interaction and advocacy with individuals currently in the sex trade.
• Development of programming for local communities and organizations seeking to work with individuals in the sex trade.
• Prevention training for high schools and organizations working with youth
• Specialized training for law enforcement wishing to gain more information on working with individuals involved with the sex trade.
• Working with college and local women's groups to develop or increase sex industry specific programming to compliment existing programs.
• Other specialized needs as requested.

STORM conducts presentations with High Schools, Colleges, Domestic Violence Shelters, Rape Crisis Centers, Conferences, Law Enforcement, Television, Radio, Magazine, Internet and other media related interviews. We can also customize a presentation for a event or organization not listed.

Direct Services: PROSPER Direct Services Manager Lucy Spina, now offers traditional supportive counseling in the Minneapolis, ST Paul, Minnesota Greater Metro Area through Northwest Youth and Family Services. NYFS has been in operation since 1976 providing service for people of all ages and backgrounds in the Greater Metro Area. NYFS Direct Services: offers direct service programs for youth, adults and families. All direct service staff have a minimum of five years experience. NYFS offers one-to-one counseling services for people experiencing all types of life situations, issues and transitions. Interpretive services can be made available for non-English speaking clients. STORM has two offices in the United States. Jill Leighton relocated to Greensboro, NC and set up an office serving the Southeastern United States. Gayle Thomas and Lucy Spina remain in the Minneapolis, MN office
